24 Apr 2014 : Tire Rack to Race at the BMW Performance Center

The Tire Rack One Lap of America Presented by Grassroots Motorsports Magazine to Race at the BMW Performance Center.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, April 24, 2014 - The Tire Rack One Lap of America will be returning to the private track at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, South Carolina. A fun track with countless configurations this course is always a favorite among One Lappers.

The BMW Performance Center is not only home to a road course, skid-pad and off road training trail, it is the home of the BMW Performance Driving School. It is in this school that drivers can choose from a number of programs. Offered are a Drivers Program, a Teen School, the M School and even a motorcycle training course. The BMW Performance Center even offers a VIP package that allows customers to pick up their new vehicles at the Performance Center where they teach the new owner how to extract the most from their new BMW.

Having such a variety of courses and programs available means having some amazing staff on hand to instruct. One of the instructors at the BMW Performance Center is One Lap veteran, Mike Renner. Mike will be fielding the 2014 BMW M235i in this year's competition to showcase the performance and reliability of the brand.

As with all One Lap events the event at the BMW Performance Center will be open to the public free of charge and spectators are encouraged to attend. Beginning at 4pm on May 6th this family friendly event will will offer food and drink for purchase and give spectators the opportunity to hop in the passenger seat for hot laps with a professional driver from the BMW Performance Center for a donation of $20.00. 3:30 pm: Spectators are encouraged to arrive to enjoy food/drink and to watch the One Lap Participants arrive.
4:00 pm: One Lap participants begin arriving and competing on-track.
7:00 pm (or earlier): Hot Laps to benefit BMW Charities begins.
